Text for Tours and Talks panel: Many monarchs have been commemorated in Windsor and in this anniversary year of the Queen’s coronation in 1953 our tour will visit the memorials to famous royals such as King George V, Queen Victoria and ‘the farmer king’ George III, and less well known figures such as Prince Christian Victor and Prince George of Denmark. Filled with fascinating facts our tour will conclude with the new memorials to H.M. the Queen celebrating her Diamond Jubilee in 2012 and her continuing role as a popular sovereign ‘long to reign over us’.
